The New Idea 3G ad featuring Abhishek Bachchan as SirJi Again and describing the fast growth of Indian population via Bivi- TV song.

The only funniest moment comes at the last where SirJi gives explanation about his Own baby.

The song is quite loud and a bit difficult to bear. So tis time no Ringtone.
What you thing about this new Commercial of Idea 3G No - Aabaadi No Barbaadi. Waiting for your response.

Forget being insensitive, the Idea 3G ad is based on such an outdated belief surrounding the causes of India's large population. The ad is based on the myth that India's population is booming because people are having sex for recreation! Really, the creative team could have done a little more research instead of promoting such misconceptions. Even simply chatting with someone who works on population issues would have helped them realise the ground realities of India and why our population is so large.

So what are the ground realities as per you? Mind listing few for us.

For reality check, try coming out of the urban cave and tasting the bitter truth of not-so-rosy India.

Yes, lack of options for entertainment is one of the prominent causes for people to resort to fornication.

Kudos to Idea for highlighting this!

The add is a great initiative to capture the rural market of India. The concept of using 3G services during power cuts is about creating the need for people to use the add on services. 73 Percent population lives in Villages of India. Out of 6,00,000 villages across India only 43 percent have access to Television. The Indian rural market is a 1,23,000 crs market which comprised of FMCG, Automobiles, Consumer Durables, Banking and Insurance and Telecom. Idea is back to its Social message campaign after using the Triology of Abhishek Bacchan. This ad will definitely lead to increase in its 3G connections and sales volume in terms of 3G services.

Why is everyone talking about 'rural ' India here. The ad doesnt cover only rural India. Also, Whatever they show in the ad might be difficult to digest but very true. Why cant India take criticisms sportingly? Whats so difficult to accept about our libido? It might be the same in other countries, only that they have the resources to sustain a growing population.

I believe that the concept behind the ad is outdated, demeaning, disrespectful, even though the harsh reality may be that it is true to some extent.I mean how narrow thinking of people can be of just considering woman as a sex object or activity of sex as a time pass?It might be true in rural India but it is not something to be proud of or to show off.

'Getting busy in 3G to DE-focus from sex' exposes the cheap mentality of people and projects this mentality as an act of comedy. But in a way it is really shallow and shameful.

Our country has to come out of such ridiculous mindset and think broad.
